Further information
Every Saturday at 3 p.m. a local guide will take you on a journey inside the most hidden corners of Arezzo during Ancient Roman times: starting from Piazza San Francesco, you will visit the mosaics in Palazzo Lambardi, Piazza Grande and then walking through the most ancient part of the city you will arrive inside San Lorenzo’s church. This church, one of the oldest in the city, was built right next to a Roman Domus and inside its well a bronze that depicted the goddess Minerva was found. The tour will end in the archeological museum of Arezzo where history is brought back to life and where you will see the original Minerva, surrounded by findings of the same Roman Domus in which the statue was originally placed.
